The Desk
Who writes this — and what we hold it to.
Every review and guide on Lion's Mane Reviews is published by The Lion's Mane Reviews Desk— our independent editorial team. We're the people checking fruiting-body sourcing and beta-glucan numbers against the lab reports so you don't have to.
Our promise
- COA-first, always. No product gets ranked with numbers unless it has a published, batch-matched third-party lab report — and the label's beta-glucan and fruiting-body claims have to match it. It's the whole reason we exist.
- Independence over payouts. We earn affiliate commissions on some links, but verdicts are set on the merits before money is considered. A brand can't buy a spot, a badge, or a softer sentence. See our disclosure.
- No health claims, ever. We report what the documents say and how a product behaves in testing — never medical outcomes. We read published lab reports; we don't run a lab, and we're not doctors.
- We keep it current. 14 reviews and guides and counting, re-checked as brands reformulate and new batch results publish.
How we work
The full methodology — the COA pull, fruiting-body verification, cost-per-gram-of-extract math, the beta-glucan check, the hands-on panel, and the re-review cycle — is laid out in detail on How We Test. It's the same process behind every verdict on this site.
